We made the whole house brighter with the use of lighting and with various colour schemes using colour psychology to capture the correct look and feel of each particular room.
Yellow was the colour chosen for the kitchen because we and the client agreed that this is a colour that delivers plenty of energy.
However, in the living room we came up with a colour scheme of soft blue tones to create an atmosphere of calm and relaxation.
In the master bedroom, meanwhile, we used soothing neutral colours – partly because the client wanted to use some of the space there for meditation.
We also created a quiet corner of the house next to the garden where the client could relax each morning and take in the sights and sounds from outside.
That close relationship with nature was echoed in the biophilic elements we created inside the kitchen. We installed some hanging plants above the working area, which were inspired by a painting that is one of the client’s favourites.
The overall effect was an interior design that combined traditional and contemporary elements in a single consistent and coherent scheme.
