A traditional & contemporary home extension
Lifestyle and wellbeing was central to the biophilic design incorporated into this Chiswick, West London family home. Key was the generous light-filled kitchen diner extension where the clients and their children could enjoy a strong connection to the garden, with stylish bifold doors, expansive windows and rooflights ensuring a bright and airy space.
A classic painted Shaker kitchen injects period elegance into the statement scheme, while the dining area is infused with a more contemporary twist. Wooden furniture and flooring elevate the biophilic elements. A palette of easy-on-the-eye neutrals pervades the interior, with pops of soft pinks bringing softness and warmth, and indulgent fabrics introducing tactility.
Carefully considered lighting ensures standout moments, notably above the dining room table, as well as the beautifully illuminated shelving of the sitting room, while an array of carefully positioned house plants throughout the spaces nods to the indoor outdoor mood.
